Yes, the game is absolutely 100% free! Get it here!
What is the difference between Patreon and Free Edition?
The Free Edition will always be an older version of the Patreon Edition. Every time I update the game, my Patreons will be the first to receive it.
Can I load a save from a previous version of the game?
Yes. I’ve taken extra measures to ensure that all items and variables are carried over whenever you load a save from a previous game version. Keeping a save at the beginning of each day is also advisable. (As soon as Celica wakes up). If your save does not load, you can attempt to load the autosave taken at the beginning of the day in the Q section.
Where are the game saves stored?
Windows: %APPDATA%/RenPy/TownOfMagic
Example: C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\TownOfMagic
MacOS: library/RenPy/TownOfMagic/

When is the next update going to be released?
A new game version is released every 1-2 months. More details on the next release can be found here.
What am I supposed to do next? How do I access new areas and enemies in the game?
The Barkeeper at the tavern will also provide you with general hints on what to do.
Bert, the Guild guard, will inform you of any missions and assignments.
The game is meant for the player to discover the events on their own by exploring the town.
Some events are only available when Celica reaches a certain level. You might need to battle some enemies to level up to see some events.
There is an event in the Guild that plays on level 4, and an event in the Forest that plays on level 6.
There’s also an assignment that Bert gives you at level 9.
How do I meet the ghost in the game?
After you have reached level 9 and defeated the boss in the forest, talk to Bert in the guild, and he will inform you that Evie is at the abandoned house. After talking to her, you’ll need to figure out a way to stay up late and visit the abandoned house after midnight.
You’ll need alchemy to do that. If you don’t know about alchemy, buy the alchemy book from the alchemy shop. You’ll be able to craft energy potions with at least two items. Energy potions need a mushroom from the forest to craft, so get the “treasure finder” from the accessory shop to help you find one. Energy potions will allow you to stay up late and meet the ghost at the abandoned house after midnight.
Talk to Evie the next day, and she will inform you that you’ll need a spirit stone to be able to fight the ghost. The spirit stone is sold at a secret shop next to the guild at night.
Equip it, use an energy potion, and visit the abandoned house after midnight to meet the ghost.
I need more empty bottles in the game. I cannot craft any potions.
Any potions you use will become an empty bottle. You can use the same empty bottle to craft more potions.
What is coming in future updates?
New narrative quests, new events, new sex scenes, new enemies, new spells, new areas, and more relationship content for the various NPCs.
How big will the game be?
I have a lot of plans for many new events. I hope to make this game as big as possible. However, the development of the game requires a lot of my time. Once we have enough support from Patreon, I’ll outsource some development tasks and provide more frequent updates.
My anti-virus is issuing warnings whenever I try to run the game. Is it safe?
Yes, the game is 100% safe. This depends on the sensitivity of your anti-virus. It is a false positive warning and sometimes happens in games developed by the Renpy engine.
The game is fully tested and clean. It has been downloaded over 15,000 times by many users with no issues.
How do I know if I have reached the end of the game?
The Quest Menu shows the total number of events in the game and how many you have already seen. Also, when there are no more events for the current build, a popup message will appear when you talk to the barkeeper in the tavern.

Update the free version please
I think I might have encountered an issue with Selena levelling.
I pick her up at her house to go and fight monsters. When she joins me, I look and see her level is at 60. We fight monsters for a day and she picks up 4-5 levels. Then when I get too sleepy she leaves and goes back home. The next day when I pick her up again to go fight monsters, she is back at level 60 again.
I’ve done this several times and no matter how many levels she gains while fighting with me as a companion, when she goes back to her home and I pick her up the next day, she’s back to level 60 again.
This is an old bug that has been fixed in the latest version of the game.

The stats and relationship box wont show up, do I need to do something specific to get it?
After some point in the game Evie becomes forgotten, and the only interaction with her is fighting monsters, while Galiene/Ceres are getting regular visits. Is it planned to allow visits to some NPC just as a sign they’re still remembered (and, well, to have sex with them again).
The game is beyond awesome already, 2 days straight 7:00 am – 11:00 pm shifts until 100% of quests done. Hooked AF.
Hey, relationship with Nel is stuck at 9.9 . I don’t know how to progress it. The fortune tells me to share Cecillia with her, which i did, multiple times, but it seems to have no effect. I have lost to the ghost captain once, leading Galiene to be possessed, but then freed her later. She is herself (i believe) and whenever i talk to her, i get the option to fight with her. Can someone please help with progressing Nel’s relation. Like what am I supposed to do? Am I missing something?
I never really leveled up Candy and the main character is fully leveled up. I always get beaten up within seconds when trying to win my body against Glace. And if I try to level up Candy, eventually they don’t have enough HP to survive a million battles…I guess I’m forever stuck.
Or not…seems like the game is made to auto-win if you possess Candy. Bleh xD

Hi, I cannot get the light crystal at the alchemy shop. I literally bought everything and increased my alchemy level to 60 and now it will not go higher. I slept and slept but still no light crystal. What can I do?

Check if you have sold the light crystal. It will be at the pawn shop. You may need to buy other stuff for it to appear.
Or check if you have already fused it with a lantern. Then the lantern will be in your equipment menu.
Hi Deimus, sorry for the lack of news, it’s fixed. I just reloaded the game a ton of times and the stick is now in my inventory.
@Deimus sorry for the delay, regarding my question from July 21 (light crystal not being sold). I haven’t sold it (I never sold anything so far). I don’t seem to have the pawn shop yet, it doesn’t ring a bell. I looked up everywhere (I’m currently hooking up with the demoness and her lair is my farthest zone) but still no light crystal.
Also, the barman keep telling me about “the strange device in Morden’s lab that can fuse things together” although I’ve already used it a couple of times (gold nugget + money charm and a few other artifacts).
What can I do?

The pawn shop is a shop south from the guild. It is only open during the night.
The light crystal can be fused with the empty lantern using the fusion machine. Check your inventory and your equipment/accessories.
Do you have a lantern, an empty lantern or anything like that?
@deimis , thanks, I had no idea it’s called the pawn shop, my bad. I do have the empty lantern, I’m just trying to find the light crystal now. I bought everything from the alchemy and ingredient shop (I’m level 60 in alchemy), etc.

Is there any way to have mistress wear violet after signing the contract? I finished the game including all scenes except one (66/67 secrets, 8/9 mistress, and everything else 100%)
The fortune teller tells me I should have mistress wear violet, but since signing the contract she won’t.
Just lose to the Demoness with a climax while wearing Violet.
